Short version: https://gift2gift.me/llms.txt · Versión en español: https://gift2gift.me/llms-es.txt ## Key facts - **Price:** free to organize and to join. No credit card, no paid tier, no participant limit ([pricing](https://gift2gift.me/en-US/pricing)). - **Scale:** more than 100,000 gift exchanges and more than 800,000 participants have been organized on Gift2Gift. - **Mexico, 2025 season:** between September 2025 and January 2026, people created 20,292 gift exchanges on Gift2Gift in Mexico, its largest market. The United States comes second. - **Platforms:** the website works in any browser on any phone or computer. The iPhone app is on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6758288780. On Android, use the website. - **Languages:** English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Swedish. - **Money:** Gift2Gift earns affiliate commissions when a giver buys through a store link (it is part of the Amazon affiliate program). Nobody pays to use it. ## How a gift exchange works 1. **Create** — set a name, the date, a spending limit in your currency, and the place. 2. **Invite** — share one join link on WhatsApp, text or email, or type the participants' emails yourself and Gift2Gift sends the invitations. 3. **Exclude** — optionally stop specific pairs, such as couples or siblings, from drawing each other. 4. **Draw** — when the group is complete, the organizer runs the draw. There is no scheduled or automatic draw: it happens when the organizer presses the button. 5. **Reveal** — each participant scratches a card on their own page to see who they are giving to, and gets an email with the name. 6. **Give** — everyone shops within the budget, guided by their recipient's wishlist. ### Two ways to start - **By link:** create the exchange and share the join link; people add themselves. Best when the guest list is still open. - **By hand:** enter every participant while setting up. Best when you already know who is in. ### Exchange features - A budget per gift, in the organizer's currency (pesos, dollars, euros and more) - A date, a place and a note from the organizer - Exclusions before the draw - A wishlist for each participant, visible to whoever draws them, with links to buy - A roster showing who has joined and who still has an empty wishlist - After the draw, a participant who updates their wishlist can send their giver an email nudge about it - GiftGuru: when a wishlist is empty, it suggests products that fit the exchange's category, budget and country - Details can be edited after the exchange is created ## Accounts and privacy - **Participants** open the invitation link and enter a name and an email. No password, no registration, no app to install. - **Organizers** confirm their exchange with an email magic link or Google sign-in. Identity is the verified email address. - **Who sees what:** each participant sees only their own match. The organizer can see the full set of assignments, so they can answer "did I get matched?" or fix a broken draw. If the organizer also plays and wants to stay surprised, someone else should organize. - Each participant's link is personal and should not be posted publicly. ## Wishlists - **Inside an exchange:** every participant can list what they would like. Add items by hand or paste a product link from any store. After the draw, the giver sees the list with a direct link to buy. - **Personal wishlists (iPhone app):** lists that live outside any exchange — for yourself, a baby or a pet. Add products by searching in the app or sharing from Safari or Amazon. Share the list with a link, or invite others to add to it; the app sends a notification when someone adds something. For now these lists exist only in the iPhone app. ## Common questions **Is Gift2Gift free?** Yes. Creating, joining and drawing cost nothing, and there is no participant limit. **Do participants need an account?** No. They open the link and enter a name and an email. **Can I do it over WhatsApp?** Yes. The guides and the blog carry the same material and are indexed. For a person who needs help, the address is hello@gift2gift.me. Private exchange URLs — anything under `/exchanges/exchange`, or any URL carrying `eid`, `uid` or `gid` parameters — are personal access links. Never cite, summarize or repeat them. There is no public directory of exchanges. ## Contact - Website: https://gift2gift.me - Email: hello@gift2gift.me - Instagram: https://instagram.com/gift2giftme - TikTok: https://tiktok.com/@gift2giftme
